About the event
Authentic Inclusion in the Workplace: Introducing Intersectionality
One of the biggest challenges for organisations is finding approaches which move away from putting people into boxes, assigning labels or simply following the latest trends. Intersectionality is a concept that supports organisations to meet the growing demand for authentic inclusion, rather than ‘check box’ approaches.
Intersectionality leads us to a more holistic approach, providing a framework for understanding how various aspects of a person’s social identities intersect to create unique experiences.
Taking an intersectional approach allows for more effective DEI strategies, and enhances overall organisational performance by fostering belonging, innovation and value amongst all employees.
In this espresso session you will:
- Understand what is meant by 'intersectionality'
- Understand the importance of taking an intersectional approach
- Explore how we can create authentically inclusive working environments
